The History Center is bringing a canoe enthusiast for a talk this Sunday at 2:00 p.m. I think we should get behind efforts to clean up and use our rivers. Learning what goes on at South Bend would be helpful, too. I believe they have annual kayac races. They also have a very attractive sculpture in the river opposite their community building/museum complex. And, canoeing in the Midwest is becoming more popular. Having such recreational opportunities downtown could be a good tourist attraction and make Fort Wayne more interesting to young people.

If Fort Wayne is not already building an Extreme Park (skate boards and roller blades) then hurry up and build one.
