Rue Melange rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even tho i haven't seen them in concert... i haven't had the privlage... i'm across the country in Washington state. And they don't tour around here :'-( Well they're still the coolest band! I have their first cd "tales from the obsolete library" which they did as Einstein Savage. I also have their cd as "Rue Melange" not sure what the name is... hmm. But they're an awesome band. Both cds rock. I don't have the second one tho cus i've heard the evil record producer had a great influence on it... that evil band-name-stealing record producer! Sorry... i'm mad at him... Einstein savage was a cool name! lol. Anyways. I think they deserve a lot of praise for the awesome lyrics and cool songs. Say hi to Mark Turney for me! I look up to that guy... Adios!

Hey, Rachel... Actually, it's the third CD--"The Savage Einstein"--that was not released, and it wasn't really the producer, it was the partner/studio that had the....conflict of interest with myself and the band. [at the time we were still called Einstein Savage]. The second CD is entitled "Archy & Mehitabel" and is a smaller disc that is not very reflective of our sound; the first CD, most of the second and some of the third were recorded before there was an actual band; it was just myself, with Jon Gillespie as co-producer, arranger and studio guru. Since the partnership was formed as an S Corporation [so that any difficulties the band might face would not affect the studio, Monastic Chambers] dba--doing business as--Einstein Savage, we were not legally able to retain the name after the split. This was not a total loss, since the band has undergone an overhaul in personnel--only Gwendra, Tommy and myself from the old lineup--and in sound [we have a little more rock, significantly more humor and tons more paranoia and "observation", which others call conspiracy theory] we all felt it was best to just rename the band. In fact, that is what the copywright lawyer and the corporate lawyer suggested that we do to split from Mr. Gillespie [who is not neccessarily evil but is full throttle in the Hegelian Dialectic Process--ask Kyle if you aren't familiar with it-- and this makes working with him no longer possible. We are now hard at work on the first ever Rue Melange CD--as yet untitled--and it should have 12 songs, some of which are new versions of Savage material, and quite a bit original to the Rue Melange lineup.
Thank you for your time.

Actually I do have your third cd... got it from Kyle. It's the unreleased cd. Although... if you made any changes to it... which you probably have by now... then I'll just have to get that 3rd cd of yours when it comes out. Oh and Kyle wasn't able to explain the "Hegelian Dialectic Process" I asked him and he drew a blank. hehe. I guess i'll just have to look it up somewhere. You and your big words... altho i think it's awesome that you're always using words I don't know in your songs... I use my dictionary more often now! ;-) Well... talk to ya later!

I have had the pleasure of listening to great music all my life, and I would stack Mark Turney and Rue Melange up there with anybody. And that includes Peter Gabriel, Shawn Colvin, Bob Marley, Steve Miller, the Squirrel Nut Zippers, Andrew Bird, Blue Man Group, Paula Cole, Enigma, Claude Chaloube, Sarah MacLachlan, Eric Serra, Mark Isham, and, well, as I said, anybody.

This band is just great, and they deserve all the success that comes their way.

For a real treat, listen to "Highwayman","Succubus Club," "What's Done is Done," "Courage by the Inch," "Love's Parasite."

Erudite, witty, melodic and just plain fantastic.

This music deserves a wider audience. I hope they get it.
