Amenities do matter, especially in a competitive housing market. While suburban neighborhoods tout green lawns and roomy two-car garages, the new rush of Downtown residential developments are seeking to lure renters or buyers with a list of bonuses unique to an urban lifestyle.

Appealing to the sensibilities of professional singles and couples, developers are including luxury items such as granite countertops and full appliance packages combined with design perks like high ceilings, expansive industrial windows and contemporary cabinetry. Yet with so many Downtown projects opening their doors, developers continue to search for an edge, that one key amenity that is integral to the identity of the property and clearly distinguishes it from the pack.
